Description
Ghost Robotics is the industry leader in legged robotic systems that not only help our customers solve complex operational, national security, and technical challenges to save lives, reduce harm and improve outcomes.
This position will be reporting into the CTO and will be working closely with a fast-moving team delivering next generation legged robotic solutions to our customers worldwide. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, knowledgeable, has a solid work ethic, can learn quickly, and execute under demanding timelines.
Key Duties
- Prototype sensors and payloads that meet technical specifications and client requirements.
- Conduct rigorous testing, simulations, and troubleshooting to ensure sensor and payload functionality, durability, and accuracy.
- Continuously improve and iterate on designs based on test results, customer feedback, and emerging technologies.
- Develop solutions for complex industrial applications integrating hardware and software tools
- Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and production teams to integrate solutions into existing systems and ensure seamless operation.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, adaptable, and optimized for performance, cost, and efficiency.
- Review and understand various standards and certifications and help convert them into engineering actions
- Prepare and submit documentation required for certifications or regulatory approvals.
- Provide technical consultation and support during customer meetings and at customer sites, offering insights into system capabilities and limitations.
- Participate in design reviews, status meetings, and post-project debriefings, ensuring continuous feedback and improvement.
- Develop comprehensive technical reports outlining design specifications, test results, and project outcomes.
- Create user manuals, installation guides, and operational procedures for customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including system schematics, software code documentation, and testing protocols.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Work Experience
- 2+ years experience at an established integration firm, consultancy or product company or equivalent experience in a lab or research environment.
- Python, Java, or C/C++ programming skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and integration with some third-party API or SDK into a project
- Familiarity with Unix and shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of electronics or mechatronics to electrically connect sensors, actuators, or payloads.
- Experience and comfortability partnering and communicating with customers and vendors.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Experience a Plus
- Working with robotics or complex mechatronic systems
- Experience with machine learning using frameworks such as PyTorch, tensorFlow, etc.
- Familiarity with common models for object recognition.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Software, Math, Physics, Electrical or related field required.
Location
Philadelphia, PA (no remote candidates considered at this time).
Travel
