We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.
These positions are onsite in Fort Worth.
Propulsion Integration Engineer (across multiple levels)
Bring your experience and ideas to help us develop and manage suppliers for the main gas turbine engine and auxiliary power unit on manned and optionally manned aircraft.
You’ll work with customer and hardware requirements to help inform technical specifications within the Propulsion system and then manage supplier efforts to qualify the product.
This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely the customer, other IPTs, and suppliers. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.
What you’ll be doing as a Propulsion Integration Engineer:
- Work closely with other teams to complete design trade studies to optimize the system key performance parameters.
- Support the mechanical integration of propulsion systems and components into the aircraft.
- Manage component supplier activities to include design, documentation, and qualification.
- Support aircraft flight test activities with troubleshooting, data reduction, and creation of test reports.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in supplier management.
- 3-D geometry creation using CATIA or similar product.
- Solid understanding of the relationship between requirements, design solutions, and successful qualification.
- Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
- Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
