Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Software Verification Engineer to join the team. Reporting to our Software Manager, you will be responsible for the development and review of verification procedures and environments in order to test and verify embedded software code for a safety-critical DO-178C DAL-A aerospace application.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivery and execution of tests in different test scenarios – Low Level Requirement Testing, High Level Requirement Testing, Software-Software Integration Testing, Hardware-Software Integration Testing
- Providing active contribution to the development of company technical verification processes
- Creation and management of test plans and schedules
- Ensuring documentation necessary for the success of deliveries is in place
- Participating in requirements review
- Creation of test cases and test procedures for each scenario
- Providing status updates to the team lead and wider audiences, including senior management, as and when required.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Previous proven experience of software verification, ideally within a DO-178 DAL-A environment
- Experienced in the design and review of requirements-based software test plans and vectors
- Experienced with the use of requirements management tools such as Doors, Integrity or Codebeamer
- Strong experience using continuous integration tools
- Previous experience of hardware in the loop (HIL) testing
- Working knowledge of C, MISRA and CAN
- A flexible approach to work with a positive, “can-do” attitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Desirable:
- Experience with unit test tool Vectorcast/LDRA
- Experience with Texas instruments processors.
