We are looking for a Field Service Engineer ( Customer Engineer ) for our HighTech Service Team located in Catania.
Working Hours:
The role involves day work from Mon - Fri.
TRAVEL EXPENSES approximately 30%:
During the first phase of initial training, availability for some business trips is required, of which approximately 1 week in Germany and 1-2 months in Taiwan, subsequently the activities will be concentrated for approximately 70% in Catania and 30% in Avezzano, at the headquarters of 2 clients.
General profile:
The ideal candidate has technical experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex equipment in high-tech industries. Installation and startup skills are a plus. Experience in semiconductor, vacuum systems, mechatronics is welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply all safety measures at all times
- Work independently using established company procedures and practices.
- Performs the installation and start-up of Applied industrial plants at the Client's premises, the largest Microchip manufacturer in Italy.
- Perform all levels of preventive and corrective maintenance within the required timeframes and procedures.
- Apply diagnostic and troubleshooting strategies and procedures on Applied equipment installed at the customer's premises, through the analysis of data produced by the machinery, understanding the production process and the software.
- Performs upgrades and retrofits on equipment.
- Ensures correct procedures and checklists are applied for both corrective and preventive maintenance
- Understands and correctly uses technical, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Understands and implements correct work methodologies and procedures according to company and customer quality standards.
- Anticipate and respond to equipment issues and escalations in a timely manner
- Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders
- Participates in internal and customer meetings to manage maintenance service.
- Responsible for the performance of assigned facilities, in defining and achieving objectives.
- Keeps field management informed of customer perceptions of system performance.
- Takes initiative to avoid and solve customer problems.
- May occasionally initiate projects to reduce costs or increase uptime.
QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Engineering preferred
or a two-year post-diploma or diploma in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation & Robotics or similar with previous experience in maintenance of industrial production machinery or similar.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in maintenance or installation in the industrial or biomedical electromechanical field.
- Knowledge of the English language at least at an intermediate level , to be able to understand trainings, procedures, manuals and interact with foreign colleagues.
