DefendTex are seeking RF Antenna Design Engineer to join an expanding team working on the development of cutting-edge Defence technologies, specifically developing leading edge, innovative and practical electronic systems and sub-systems for use in tomorrow’s defence technology.
About this role:
- Design of miniaturised and/or conformal antennas
- RF circuit design and testing
- Working with and setting up test equipment such as VNA’s, spectrum analysers, & oscilloscopes.
- Prepare specifications and requirements
- Analysing standards for key requirements
- Developing test and evaluation plans and procedures About you:
- Bachelor Communications, Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline
- Australian Citizenship - must be eligible for the Australian Government BASELINE security check
- Not be a prohibited person under Section 3 of the Firearms Act 1996 (Victoria)
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Experience designing with CST, ADS, or equivalent
- Experience designing and testing antennas within tight enclosures.
- Experience performing cascade analysis on RF signal chains
- Debugging and fault-finding circuits
- Surface mount assembly and rework
