Job Description
Bridger Photonics, Inc., a rapidly growing photonics company specializing in precision laser-based distance and atmospheric measurement, ladar, and LiDAR sensors, seeks a Data Processing/Flight Planning Technician to contribute to the deployment of our Gas Mapping LiDAR (GML) sensor fleet.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Build a solid understanding of our GML sensor, software, and processes
- Analyze sensor data for GML reports and data products
- Perform quality assurance checks on GML data and data products
- Contribute to improvements in systems and workflows for creating GML reports and data products
- Create and optimize flight plans for deploying GML by using Bridger’s custom software and commercially available mapping software
- Troubleshoot issues with GML data products and software tools
- Works a non-standard schedule to support 7-day operations and the needs of the company and our clients (Final schedule to be determined. One possible schedule could be 4 days on, 4 days off)
Requirements
Required qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, to achieve company goals
- Excellent work ethic with the willingness to tackle all tasks necessary for meeting client expectations
- Work hard and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and work independently on assigned projects
- Careful attention to detail with the ability to produce error-free documents and reports
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience using common file formats such as .pdf, .csv, .jpg, .png, .tif, .kml/.kmz
- Experience with GIS data and software applications such as Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS
- Applicable exposure to coding languages (ex. Matlab, Python, SQL)
- Experience with project planning and/or logistics planning
- B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Physics, or STEM field, with demonstrated data analysis experience. Directly applicable A.S. or A.A. will also be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience in a field related to GIS data and reporting
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position.
- This position is based in Bozeman, MT and is not a remote work position.
- This position is subject to a non-standard work week to support 7-day operations and the needs of the company and our clients (Final schedule to be determined. One possible schedule could be 4 days on, 4 days off)
- Pay is commensurate with education, experience, and skills.
